Labtop will now startup windows

I turn on my labtop, i select, "Start Windows Normally" then it loads...

Then a blue screen pops up for a few seconds. I wrote down what it said
and at the bottom of it, it had something maybe important info. I dont
know what it means, but maybe someone else does.
this is what it said at the bottom:

Hi,

What were you doing with the system when you last started normally? Install
any software, drivers, or updates? Have you tried Safe mode by hitting F8 at
boot? How about the Last Known Good Configuration?

As a matter of information, that error code often indicates a corrupt file
system. This is not always a recoverable condition.

My labtop is a IBM TouchPad T40 PC Notebook with a 40.0GB
HardDiskDrive/HardDrive
