USB Flash drive write protected

I have a Apacer Handy Steno HT203 Flash drive.
When I try to write, delete or format the drive I get the error 'Disk drive
is write protected'. The drive itself doesn't have a switch to turn on/off
write protection.

Is it possible to set the write protection somewhere in Vista? I searched
through all configuration settings but I could not find anything.
