Inaccurate System Time/Clock (running slow)
I bought a new laptop from bestbuy the other day. Everything is running well
except for the system clock. System time will be running slow, 10 sec in
every 15 min. So the system clock kept on drifting off . The accumulation in
a day will be around 10-20 min. OMG!

I've tried to sync the time via internet, then shutdown Vista, and return to
BIOS. I've been keeping an eye on it for one and a half hour. The system
time in BIOS seems very accurate. There is no lag occuring in BIOS system.

So, may I draw a conclusion, this is not a hardware problem but a vista
problem? Or should I return the laptop to bestbuy? Or should I just wait for
some kind of driver patch?

It is a really nice laptop, but the problem messed with me for days.

Hardware SPEC (if it helps):
CPU:Intel Core Duo T2060(1.6G)
RAM: 2X1G
HDD: 80G
MB: ATi Xpress 200M for intel
Graphic: Ati Radeon Xpress 200M (128M shared)
Optical: DVD+-RW Dual layer
,etc.
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium

When you lose time this way, are you running off the laptop battery or are
you connected to AC. If off the battery, it's possible the battery is not
fully charged. If you are sure the battery is fully charged, I'd bring it
back to Best Buy, tell them the symptoms and if they don't have an answer or
fix, I'd replace it since its new enough that you shouldn't be having any
problems with it and its covered by warranty.
