Post SP1 AHCI Trouble

After installing vista service pack 1 on my pc, it started hanging
occasionally. This doesn't happen when I disable AHCI in the bios. Anyone
any ideas as how I could fix this? (I'm running Vista Ultimate)

Check the support web site of the manufacturer of your
computer or motherboard and see if a BIOS update is available.

I already did that (the solution center suggested this also), problem
remains the same. Maybe I should revert to a pre-sp1 ahci.sys?
