I would bet that if you opened the Task Manager (Cntrl-Alt-Del) and looked
at your Performance tab, the CPU is probably maxed out. Open the
Application and Process tabs to see what is keeping it busy. Could be the
indexing or it's doing a defrag. Something has got the CPU/s doing a whole
lot of work. Is your disk light flashing like crazy?
