ICH9R RAID 5 Vista 64 bit not working

My Problem:

I have a DFI X38 LP LT board and trying to use RAID 5 on it with 6 drives.
I also have 2 drives striped which i have loaded Vista Ultimate 64bit on , no
problem, when I try to initialize the RAID 5 using the Intel matrix software
it fails at 5%. I cannot get it to fully initialize and be usable. Also if
i had the RAID 5 plugged in while vista installed on the stripe, it would
fail install.

I thought maybe it was a hardware issue, so I loaded XP 64bit and it
initializes fine and is working, so it is strickly a vista issue. DFI nor
Intel have any solution.
