System maintenance not in control panel |Vista x64 home premium

Hello, I am having problems with my Microsoft Standard Wireless Mouse.
My keyboard works ok but my mouse has stopped working. When I accessed
Help & Support the message says click "System Maintenance in Control
Panel" but I cannot find this in the control panel. I have just
installed the Vista 64 into a computer I have just built and i am not
conversant with Vista yet. Tks

Hello, fireman263,
When you were on Control Panel, you must be on Classic View option.Look
to the left side of the panel of your Control Panel,click Control Panel
Home.
As to your wireless mouse not working, have you recalled whether you
had installed an optional Windows Update called "Other hardware Hid
Non-user Input Data Filter " ? If you don't have it installed, go to
Windows Update and find it. You need it for any wireless mouse/keyboard.
