Recommend wired network adapter (NIC)
I'm finally looking at installing Vista at my office. However, I have
noticed that the network adapters (NIC) that I use do not (and may
not) have Vista drivers for them.

What is a good brand of network adapters (NIC) that are XP / Vista
compatible?

Which adapters do you have now, they will probably work.
Run the Vista upgrade advisor check and you'll get a report
on your hardware and software.

I've used Linksys NIC's with no issues. Although you can run the Vista
Advisor to see if a driver is built in with Vista.

Some NIC's don't have drivers with Vista, and no drivers available. But,
most new Linksys and Dlink have drivers.

Anything that has a Realtek 8192 chipset. You'll find it in many of the
$5 PCI NICs and you'll be hard pressed to find an OS that doesn't
support it out of the box except for DOS of course.

you might want to spend some time over in the networking_sharing NG before
you introduce Vista into your business environment...
if for nothing else. just to see what you can expect. [it ain't pretty]

Dustin, the older 3Com 3C905-TX series are all Vista-ready (drivers are
included with the OS) back to the original 3C905-TX (the last iteration is
the 3C905-TX-C). It's both PCI and utterly Plug and Play. The same applies
to the Intel PRO/100 (and older PRO/1000) series NICs (and built-in
Intel-branded *wired* Ethernet controllers in various Intel-chipset
motherboards).
