I am using a Realtek RTL8111B network adapter and it worked fine under Windows XP. In the same hardware system, but under Windows Vista Home
Premium 64 (a new, 'clean' installation) I can not install the driver, system returns an error message:
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it
Realtek 8111 Gigabit Ethernet NIC
The system cannot find the file specified."
What file?? I have downloaded latest (signed!) drivers from Realtek website and in the
installation directory I have following files:
netrtx64.cat
netrtx64.INF
rtlh64.sys
Neither automatic, nor manual installation does not work, I am receiving the same error message and the adapter does not work. What else can I do? Something is wrong in the INF file?
