RE:personal media drive bay

i have a internal personal media drive bay, and bought the drive for it ,
and i stored some pictures in , but some of the picture are corupted , now i
don't know if it's because i leave the drive in the slot all the time ,do i
leave the drive in only when in use or it dons't metter, i mean is it normal
for those drives to corupt files . Can anyone tell me please , thank you
