hard drive

i am getting rid of my oled computer and i need to cleen off all the stuff on
it wipe the hole thing cleen how do i do that so no one will ever be able to
see what was on it

Hi kristy,

There are products on the market which claim to do what you want but, short
of actually physically destroying the drive, to my knowledge no method is
100% safe. If you want to be safe, simply remove your old hard drive before
you get rid of your machine.

My guess is that you will not want to pay for anything. Here are three free
ones. I have never used any of them and can't recommend any on that basis.

If you have Vista Ultimate, you could use bitlocker on it and encrypt it.
