vista/camera software installation

HP computer, vista windows home basic - 32--HP camera E317,new downloads from
microsoft for vista--have 2 other computers w windows XP--camera works fine
error notification on new computer says unable to install camera software????
control-panel (programs installed) shows up to date programs all
installed-computer shows camera connected to computer but cannot downloan
pictures--anyone have any suggestions--HP no help here

thanks for prompt answer - however the link u sent is the same one i used to
downloand cujrrent vista software--i have also visted the other link u
provided--any other answers--i guess this thing is going to be maybe a trial
and error thing

Have you tried right click on download & select"Run as Administrator"

yep--i did pull something else up from the vista information--there is a
patch for this but they advised unless it is causing major problems wait
until the next patch comes out--thanks for your information - I guess unless
u have any other ideas i can try i'll just hang on and wait--i actrually have
another computer i can use--just like everything to work right-u know--again
