Computer Crashing Issue

For sometime now, i have been having crashing issues that mainly arrise
during games and the game will either:
*freeze and just stay on the frozen image till i reset PC
*Go to a "blue screen of death (BSOD)" saying:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
STOP 0x00000050
with the file/driver: "ntfs.sys" identified

aswell as this BSOD:
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
STOP 0x0000003B
with the file/driver: "dxgkrnl.sys" identified

If i could have some help on this issue, it would be greatly
appreciated, Thx

Hi Samurai,

Welcome to the Vista Forums x64. arty:

You might try running the game in XP SP2 compatibility mode to see if
it will run without any errors afterwards. This tutorial will show you
how.

Re: Computer Crashing Issue

I personally think my issue may be hardware issue: thinking maybe RAM.
This issue has come up in the desktop bfore aswell, with hardly any
apps open...
i am tried stressing my system with 3damrk06, and the pc crashed after
about the 4th of 5th loop of the tests
pc has also crashed during a program called "orthos" aswell, so i do
think it maybe hardware issue, but not sure how to fully identify the
issue.

Re: Computer Crashing Issue

I have tried the memory diagnostic tool about 3 times, it didn't find
anything each time, i do know that memory can pass tests sometimes
tho... i have been recomended to test each ram stick individually, and i
will try that next.
i have all the latest drivers for everything, windows updates and
nvidia drivers up to 169.25.

Re: Computer Crashing Issue

try reinstalling the gfx drivers from the install cd.
Check your motherboard drivers have not been updated by microsoft.
Try a restore point to see if that solves a problem.
