Printer goes offiline after restart
I have an HP laserjet 1100 connected to a D-Link dp-300u print server
on a home net work.
I am running a brand new HP pavillion with vista home premium using
included drivers ( 1100MS, or any pcl 5 driver included with Vista.)
I can create a printer using control panel and add printers, create a
test page and all prints fine.
I can print anything until...
1) I come out of sleep mode
2) restart my system
3) power down and then some time later turn the system on
HP tells me it's MS, MS says its a driver issue or incompatibility,
all I know is that the all was fine for a week or so and then... who
knows what changed.
I delete the printer in CP and add a new printer again. All works
fine until one of the three events above happens and the cycle starts
all over again.
Any direction would be appreciated!
I am getting real tired of being told I have to throw out a work-horse
printer that has served me well everytime I chnage a MS Op system.
