Upgrade

Dear Friends!! I want some suggestions from you.

My PC Specs are following:

Intel Core2Duo E6550@ 2.33x2 GHZ 4MB L2 Cache
160GB HDD SATAII Seagate
Intel Desktop Board DG33FB
1 GB DDR2 @667Mhz Ram
casing with 300 supply

I want some upgradation in my system Such as adding Graphics card ,
ram.

Plz suggest me some upgradation tips and tell me which components
should I add in my system. Remember My budget is only about 200$.

Thanks

Re: Upgrade
The very first thing I would do is upgrade that power supply. 300 watts
is just a bare minimum for even what you are currently running.

As for an upgrade for performance, RAM should be first on your list.
With prices for DDR2 at an all time low, you can pick up another 2 GB
for ~$50 or so. Add a decent power supply (can be had for ~50, sometimes
after rebate, for a 500 watt Coolermaster). That leaves about $100 for a
video card. Depending on how much you game, you can pick up a mid-range
ATI or NVIDIA card for about $100 (8600 or 8800 from NVIDIA are great
cards). That would really up your system to a very noticeable
difference when gaming or just everyday work.

Re: Upgrade

Is it really possible to get GeForce 8800 for $100 though? Went on eBay
for a look and the cheapest one I found was at least $250. 8600 seems
more of a possibility, and honestly even 8600 is more than enough.
