Gaming issues

I just bought a new laptop with Vista, and I'm having trouble with
compatibility issues for a couple games. I've searched and searched, and
can't figure out if they will work at all or if there just a patch or
something I need. Can someone help me? Thanks!

The games are Command & Conquer:Generals, and Tropico.
