MyBook USB Drive Randomly Becomes Write Protected

I have a Western Digital MyBook 500GB which is partitioned in to 4 Logical
Drives. I use one partition specifically for storing video editing files
within Adobe Premiere Pro & Adobe Encore. Whenever I go to save files into
the drive, Adobe throws up an error saying the disc is write protected.

This error has also occurred outside of Adobe products as well. I am
currently the only user on my computer with Administrator rights. I also
have UAC disabled to avoid the nuisance of pop-up windows.

What do I need to do to fix this problem?
