HP 1100 Laser Jet Printer and MS Wilrless Laser 600
There was a posting, a while ago; regarding HP 1100 Laser Jet Printer and
Vista, a kind sole mentioned that a driver for the printer was available on
Microsoft. Indeed, I did find the driver and installed it. My new HP
computer did not come with a parallel port. I bought a converter cable to a
USB port. The computer recognizes the location of the printer, the printer
prints, manually, the test page; however, the print command does not activate
the printer. Checked the driver, although it seemed OK, I uninstalled the
driver, deleted all semblance of files relating to the printer. After
disconnecting the printer from the computer and unplugged the power from the
printer, the computer was re-booted. I repeated this three times but to no
avail. What else can one do?
Whenever I use the magnifier on the mouse, the system freezes the system.
The Keyboard Wireless Laser system is a new system that I received lately as
a replacement to one that went "ziziz" and 'died'. Previously it worked
with an XP without problem. The old mouse, as well as, the new one creates
the same problem. Yes, I downloaded new drivers from MS. Any suggestion for
a remedy?
