Volume control Icon

On my taskbar (by the clock) my volume control disappeared. I had it on mute
then I unmuted it and it left.
I went into the taskbar and properties taskbar and tried to add it back but
the box I am suppose to click is there but its invisible and I can't click it
at all!! Help.. this is quite annoying

Oh and by the way I have Windows Vista Basic

Try Logging Off, then back On. I don't know why it
happens, though. It has happened to me, occasionally, as well.
