A Question About Power Consumption
Using the Internet, I can listen to radio station programs (streamed) from
cities and formats that I cannot pick up even on my table radio. I have a
Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop, nearly always plugged into AC power. When I listen
to a favorite radio station on my computer, I turn off the video screen.
My question is, approximately how much electrical power am I consuming by
using my computer for radio listening, compared to my conventional table
radio? If such a comparison cannot be made, can you compare my computer's
consumption to a conventional light-bulb wattage? (Eg. it's comparable to a
60 watt bulb).
Thanks so much for your assistance!
