*I will not use the MS Complete PC Backup again.*
A few days ago, I decided to change my RAID 0 Strip from 64KB to 128KB.
I made 5 back-ups on 3 different drives. All failed after I reset my
RAID. I received several different error messages. I worked on trying to
restore for over 12 hours. While reading all I could and trying some
tricks with Diskpart.
The time before I attempted to use it, it also failed. I believe that
was due to having my Pagefile on a different partition.
Just search the net, many people have problems with this program. So I
would not be to concerned about it is not backing-up. But, will the dam
thing restore.
It should not be that complicated. If it can't due something or can't
find something, it has the Setup CD, it should pass that up and move on,
or revert to default.
If your 80GB HD is to small and you buy a 1TB, it should work. At least
when given the option to partition the disk as it wishes, to atleate
restore the original.
I never loose data. I back that up separate on a regular basis. I will
be looking for a more fail-safe back-up program. This one I don't trust.
*The only Ultimate feature I ever used. I should have stayed with Home
Premium.*
