Maybe I wasn't clear, but I've already done that. And I fail on every Active X test. So...I'm looking for something else, if you can help.

I can't manage to use the validation tool on my new HP Pavilion--Active X issues, it says. And that means, I can't do any downloads
from the Microsoft site. But as I recall from my PC, there was a compatibility issue with Comcast that I had to correct on my PC to
fix this. I had to change the LAN settings on one of my network adapters. I know the settings to use...but I don't know how to
change them with Vista--can anyone help? With XP, all I had to do was right click on the right adapter and change those settings.
I have NO idea what to do with Vista--I can't even find the settings!
