Serious problems with cd and dvd
I have an intel that had xp on it. I got windows vista home premium. I have a
dvd reader, dvd w, and cd r/w...all LG and all in working order before Vista.
I installed the Vista with my dvd w and all seemed fine. Then I tried to put
a new game on and I got a blue screen and a system reboot. I tried to use my
dvd readers and again I got the blu screen. I reinstalled and updated all of
my readers and tried again. Again the blue screen. So I disabled them one by
one and got a blue screen with everything. When I do a restart on my system
from the start menu I get the blue screen. I also cannot get any lonks in
email, yahoo, msn, favorites etc to work on my internet explorer which is the
newest version and updated. I cannot back up my system and do a format and
reinstall because none of my readers work to back up to. I am going tomorrow
to buy external hard drive and try a backup that way but I need an answer for
my readers. The blue screen message I get is **stop 0x0000008E (oxcoooooo5,
0x82386E65, 0x962E4800, 0x00000000) Fltmgr.sys - Address 82367000 datestamp
4549acc2

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. Read the following. It is for Windows XP but it applies to Vista also.
