Sleep Mode Problems
Has anybody noticed that if you have a screen saver turned on to start at,
say, 5 minutes, and you enable sleep mode, the screen saver actually wakes up
the computer from sleep at the 5 minute point and the screen saver is
displayed. This is happening on my computer. Weird.

Also if my computer ever goes into sleep mode, shutdown doesn't work. After
several tries at shutdown, where nothing happens, it finally starts shutting
down, only to freeze at the shutdown screen. At this point, the only thing
one can do is hit the hard power button.

RE: Sleep Mode Problems
I just got a new PC with Vista. Having the usual headaches getting started on
something new. Just came back into the room & apparently the ***** thing had
put itself to sleep. Rubbing the mouse on the pad did no good so had to hit
the button & then manually restart. However, it then recommended starting in
"repair" mode. Got so frustrated that I OK"D it then left for 10 minutes.
When I got back the start up screen had re-appeared & a normal start was
made. What gives? Is this normal? Thanks for any info............

To awaken from SLEEP mode, try pressing the ESC key.
