Does Windows Firewall on Vista Home Pre have log?
Does Windows Firewall on Vista Home Pre have log?

An application fails to connect its server over internet. I want to know
which ip address and port number this app attempts to connect. So that I can
verify that internet address via telnet.

Thank you in advance.

Dave

RE: Does Windows Firewall on Vista Home Pre have log?
The log is stored in C:\Windows\system32\LogFiles\Firewall\pfirewall.lo g by
default. You need to enable the logging. To do this go to Start, Control
Panel, Administrative Tools, Windows Firewall with Advanced Security. When it
opens Right click on "Windows Firewall with Advanced Security" (the one on
top of inbound rules, outbound rules on the left navigation bar) And on the
first tab click customize next to logging.
