Other than Microsoft software - no.

But even if it checked all software, by co-operation with various
manufacturers, I wouldn't worry.

If all of your software is legit, you shouldn't have to worry.

Vista has been spying on you all this time. You should see the video that
it captured. You should be ashamed of yourself. Vista will report you to
the authorities if you continue that behaviour.

I've heard that whenever a person lnstalls pirated software in Vista,
an alarm goes off in Bill Gate's house and the offender's name &
address are displayed in flashing neon lights.

Putting a piece of tape or a cloth over the lens works too
