Vista Boot in a Loop
Have a new Vista Home Premium laptop. I created a restore point, created
backup disks. Now, when I boot, I get the logo, loading message and circle,
then it goes back to the logo. This goes on continually.
If I press F8 and selecrt Last Known Good Configuration, it pops right up
and I can use it normally. How do I get it to boot normally, on its own?

Re: Vista Boot in a Loop
Try booting to safe mode once and then see if it will boot normally.

Re: Vista Boot in a Loop
Booted in safe mode, which came up ok. Restarted normally, it then went into
the startup loop again. So, that didn't help.

Re: Vista Boot in a Loop
Well, it was worth a shot. You might check Device Manager and run sysinfo
and see if there are conflicting devices or problem devices.

Re: Vista Boot in a Loop
No problems with Device Manager. Also, I ran Hardware diagnostics w/no
problems. Should I just do a restore?

RE: Vista Boot in a Loop
i have a vista home premium laptop too! Could you pls tell me how to create a
backup disk and a rebootable windows vista startup disk too? I'm concerned
that my operating system might crash on me oneday. PLUS, when i bought the
laptop, windows vista was already installed on it, but i was never given a CD
or DVD for installation. Is there a way I can create the CD?
