dial up modem

When I first installed Vista my modem worked great. After i did the updates
it stopped working. When I try to log on with Juno it says cant start
dialing. I checked the device manager and it says the modem is working fine..
Please help

Go into Device Manager and delete your modem. Exit back to desktop OK'ing
your way out. Reboot and modem will be re-installed.

I tried this and I still get the same error so I unistalled the juno software
and reinstalled but it still doesnt work. Device mgr says there is a modem
and it works but vista says no dial up moden installed when I troubleshoot

So you did DELETE THE MODEM in Device Manager and reboot? If so
remove and re-enter your Dial_up to ISP.

Set the Windows Firewall to ALLOW ALL or shut it off temporarily. Do you
have any 3rd parts security softwate installed such as Norton? If so
uninstall
that. Remember to reboot and recheck your settings.

yes i did delete the modem and i now have tried everything you have suggested
and it still doesnt work so im scrapping the vista piece and going back to a
real operating system xp
