Program shows in list of Programs, but not in C drive
I got into a mess installing Nero 7, apparently the version I have is
incompatible with Vista. So I tried to uninstall, using the "uninstall
programs" section, but it tries to install it, rather than uninstall
it, hits an error and closes.
So I go to the c drive, and after figuring out the permissions, remove
it manually. However, it's still showing in the list of Programs and
Features, as a 431mb file. Any idea what's going on? Thanks.

Re: Program shows in list of Programs, but not in C drive
Instead of just deciding that Nero is incompatible, why not go to this site:
http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php and install the update?
You'll have added features for the Nero Suite and full compatibility with
Vista.
You will need to install Nero from disk again before the update.

Thanks - though I haven't "just decided" it's incompatible! I've been
battling and searching for about a week! I have once again just now
tried to install from the CD, but get the message "there are known
compatibility issues", it gets so far then I get a few error messages
and it stops.
So it's still stuck there in the list - maybe somewhere in the system
too - and I can't get rid of it!

Re: Program shows in list of Programs, but not in C drive
Probably a registry entry that you can find under this key:
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Un install"
