Yea right!
They are only friendly if you agree with their philosophy 100 percent.
If not, they will turn on you like a rabid dog.
No wonder Linux is so unpopular.
People aren't stupid. When they ask for help and get told RTFM by some
arrogant Linux freak, they disappear and unless they have good reason
to learn Linux, they will ditch it in the dustbin
Linux users are amongst the most unfriendly, snobbish, stuck up group
of people I have ever encountered.
I think it stems from fear of losing their position as "know it alls"
because Linux is getting easier to use and their "secret knowledge" of
the command line is no longer needed.
Linux users = nasty losers.

Only in this group as a general rule. Sure there are some "I know I
know" types in the help forums who take a lot of delight in making
trivial things appear hard, but at least they are there to help. This
NG, however, is just full to the brim of nasty pieces of work who will
insult a nOOb at the first opportunity. I am almost convinced that Roy
Spamawitz is a fully paid up member of M$ since the spam he posts here
scares off new users nearly every time. Other less competent posters
like Peter Köhlmann (ask him about AA and screen shots) just hang around
to "wannabe" - he is in fact a Windows user, makes his money from
windows but often fantasises about having a real Linux distro installed
and actually working. A strange lot. You'll fit right in. Pick up your
popcorn and enjoy the fun. Willy Boaster & Chrisv should have you
plonked in about 8 seconds ..7..6.. etc etc.

To which group are you referring, see as how you cross posted this to
five different groups?

It's plausible that Schestowitz is a paid
Microsoft troll because they have done that in the
past and it wouldn't surprise me if they are up to
the same old tricks again.
Schestowitz certainly seems to irritate people and
with his flood of messages polluting the Linux
groups and antagonizing the Windows users the
net effect is to turn people off to Linux.
It doesn't make sense for a person to spend as
much time as he does sending out messages unless
that person was being paid for his time.
The question remains, who is paying Roy
Schestowitz?
Microsoft?
Maybe.

Think Evangelist. Microsoft, Linux, OS2, Christian, Moslem it is all
the same.

Which group? This thread has only been crosspoasted to half a dozen
groups or so.
