Windows Live OneCare for Vista
On my old computer I had Windows XP and I bought Windows Live OneCare for
protection for that computer. I then got a new computer with Vista on it,
can I use that same Windows Live OneCare with my new computer or will I have
to find a different security package? Thanks so much for the help.

As long as your new computer is running Vista 32 bit and not x64, you can
download OneCare from http://onecare.live.com and activate it using the same
LiveID you used to subscribe on the old PC. (Don't use the product key to
activate)
If your new PC is Vista x64 you'll have to wait for version 2.0, which is
reportedly going to work on x64 and is about to hit public beta.

Re: Windows Live OneCare for Vista
Presuming your new computer is vista 32, download the one care vista 32
version, you are allowed to use it on 3 computers at a time.

Re: Windows Live OneCare for Vista
I do have the 32 bit version of Vista but when I try to install the Live
OneCare it says "Windows Live OneCare requires Windows XP Service Pack 2"
What does this mean? That it won't work? Thanks for all the help again.

Don't use the CD. Your CD is version 1.0 and the pre-install check will fail on
Vista. Simply go to http://onecare.live.com and download the latest version,
1.6, install and activate with the LiveID that your subscription was originally
set up with.
If you don't know the LiveID (Passport) you activated with originally, you'll
need to contact support as you can't re-use the product key from your CD.

Re: Windows Live OneCare for Vista
I went to the website and cannot find that option any where to download the
latest version or add another computer. Nothing seems to be working. Can
you provide a step by step please? Thanks so much.

Sorry, I should have said - click the button to download the free 90 day trial.
Once you install the trial, you activate it with your LiveID from your original
subscription.

http://onecare.live.com is the main site.
Member Center contains a link for add a computer or reinstall and includes
instructions, too:
