nope.. turned the antivirus off but still it shows an orange box..

any other suggestions?

My not sure this would apply, but if you are using some 'non-default'
setting in the Regional Settings app in Control Panel, for the date or time,
the gadget may be having trouble with that. The error mentioned in this
thread was 'loc.month...' and I think 'loc' stands for 'localization'

Solution to calendar that is solid orange with no date
Hello everyone.

I may have solved the Vista sidebar calendar problem. The problem being that the calendar is solid orange with no date. It happened after I did a software uninstallation. Here is the solution that worked for me.

1. Delete the calendar gadget from the sidebar.
1. Open a command prompt with administrative rights.
2. Type "regsvr32 vbscript" without the quotes.
3. You should get a confirmation message that it succeeded.
4. Add the calendar gadget to the sidebar and it should be working.

Let me know if it worked for you guys or not.

Hi i have the same problem, i have windows vista home premium, in the first
day of use the calendar went orange and i can't restore the gadgets because i
can't press the button that says restore
Could yo please help me?
