Did powerpoint come with windows
Did a micrsoft powerpoint come with vista that wasn't a trial period. The
only program I can get free is Microsoft Word. I don't know why all of the
programs like access, powerpoint, and excel didn't come with windows vista.
Please respond if you can thank you very much.

RE: Did powerpoint come with windows
Office does not come free with VISTA. It must be purchased separately.

Re: Did powerpoint come with windows
Office never came free with *any* Microsoft operating system. Some major
manufacturers used to install it on computers you purchased, but the price
of Office was included in the price of the computer.
If you need Office, or any part thereof, you must purchase what you need.

No, PowerPoint doesn't come with Vista. Neither does Access nor Excel,
and neither does Word.
*No* version of Windows has ever included Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
Access, or any other significant application software. None of these
is free, and such programs have to be bought, either by themselves or
as part of Microsoft Office.
If your previous computer, running an older version of Windows, came
with these, it was because the vendor who sold it bundled it as part
of the package he sold you, not because that version of Windows came
with it. Some, but not all, vendors do the same with Windows Vista. If
you have Word on your computer, then it was bundled with the package
your vendor sold you.

Re: Did powerpoint come with windows
They were not included because you would not have liked the total price..

I suggest you try OpenOffice.org. It is a complete office suite, very
similar to MS Office, and it is free.

It sounds like the OP may have had an OEM version of Works that
included Word.
To the OP: You can download a free PowerPoint viewer from MSFT that
will allow you to open PowerPoint files if that will be sufficient for you.

Microsoft Office is one of Microsoft's best selling products. I can't
imagine why you'd think they'd just give it away.
Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.
Microsoft Office comes pre-installed on new computers only when the
computer manufacturer chooses to offer it, and the purchaser is willing
to pay extra for it.

No part of Office comes with any version of Windows. The powerpoint
viewer is a free download from MSFT.
