Windows explorer crashes when I try to cut and paste

Whenever I try to cut and paste in windows explorer...windows explorer
crashes. It doesn't matter if it is from one window to anohter or if I
cut...then navigate to where I want to place the file and then paste. Any
ideas?

PS...if the moderators are viewing this...can you please alphabetize the
dropdown that lists the discussion group or comme up with a better
way...scrolling through every list is rediculous
