Why Vista is great - and people need to stop looking for things...
to complain about!

Wow, do you people love to complain about great products. Go ahead, stop
your crying if you don't like Vista. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. Go use
a "wonderful" Mac, or use Linux and see where you get.

I'm sick of ignorant people bashing a great product. WHY? Because you've 1)
probably never used it, and have heard some kid who probably tried to pirate
a copy complain about something 2) think that YOU should obtain main years of
hard work in the form of software - FREE (go use Linux, you'll see the
quality of programming and level of hardware and software support for that
OS... it has NO place on a Home Desktop system -- web server? Sure) 3) You
just like looking for things to complain about and are afraid of change.

Get over yourselves! Vista by FAR is the best OS to date, bar none. There
are no hugely glaring issues, and hopefully IT WILL force people with dated
hardwar eto upgrade... its good for the industry and consumer as a whole
incase some of you cannot see the larger picture here instead of your "right
here, right now" crying nonsense.

Get with the program. Either enjoy the best OS created to date, or get lost
and use whatever else you want. Go cry somewhere else... for the rest of the
people also who might actually ENJOY Vista, don't ruin it for them with your
BS and 'cause Microsoft to lose out on a sale because you're talking from
your nether regions.

Get real... Vista is awesome.

Your Psychiatrist called. He said you need to come back to the asylum by
late afternoon or else they would send out a search party.

Vista is full of holes, very frustrating to use (used since November) and I
can see why most people want to throw it in the trash. I do have some
problems with it and I much prefer XP.

Attach the install key before you throw it in the trash please. Oh, and post

Re: Why Vista is great - and people need to stop looking for things...
Vista is "frustrating" to unreasonable people. The rest get by fine. I
wouldn't worry about the few knuckleheads in this NG that complain about
Vista. They're what? .000000001% of the population? They are literally
and mathematically NOTHING.

You've not used vista if you believe that.

I run an IT company, we provide services for small to large business all
across the US. I can assure you that none of those clients will be
moving their production machines to Vista any time soon.

While almost ever computer we/they have purchased in the last year has
been a 1GB, P4/3.2ghz hyper threaded or Dual Core, machine, there is no
reason to move to Vista at this time.

Vista over XP provides more memory use than XP, more CPU use than XP,
and that all before you do anything. Vista on the same hardware (and I'm
talking 1GB or more RAM, P4 3.2ghz CPU, 512MB Video card, is just slow
when sitting side by side with XP Prof on the EXACT SAME HARDWARE.

It's not complaining, it's a fact.

It's not some review by someone that isn't using Vista, heck, I'm typing
this with Vista sitting here running my Usenet client, and it's an older
clients, and Vista is using 811MB RAM, and both CPU's are showing 4-17%
CPU load, while I'm typing text.

Oh, yea, lets not forget applications. All of them run slower, and that
means Office 2003 Prof, and I won't even go into Office 2007.

GuildWars plays so laggy that I can't play it reasonably, but, on teh
EXACT same hardware (swap drives) it runs fast under XP.

So, tell me, and be specific, what makes Vista the BEST OS EVER?

I have Vista installed and don't see NEAR the CPU/Memory loads your
getting, there MUST be something quarky going on. I'm on an ASUS A8N-SLI
Deluxe, Athlon X2 64 4800+ CPU, 3gigs OCZ DDR RAM, Radeon X1300 512meg
video card. Not sure if it would make a difference, but I did a clean
install. You've got something going on there man. Not just Vista.
