User folder icons

Small little thing that's bugging me. When I open the user folder that has
documents,music,pictures,videos,downloads,etc, the downloads folder seems to
have changed to the normal tan folder not matching the green of the others.
I've tried setting the folder pictures to default in its properties, but that
doesn't work. Any "fix" for this, to help my mild ocd...?

Shell folders are displayed with the standard folder icon in Windows Vista:

Hi, thanks, i was having the same problem with the Downloads and Music
folders, i followed that link and it solved it for the music folder but not
for the downloads folder.
What should i do?

Make sure that the "hidden" attribute is set for the desktop.ini file in the Downloads folder.

Thanks for the tip, I have read the article suggested in this thread and have
made sure all my desktop.ini files match the article's but I am still missing
the icons on 'downloads' and 'music' folders.

Any other recomendations I should try?

Vista-specific icon files are not in Shell32.dll, but instead Imageres.dll.
It is located in the System32 folder under Windows folder.

Actually I have and it appears checked but does not give me the option of
unchecking it, it appears dimmed. Is this how it should look?

Hi Pablo,

You may use the attrib command frm a Command Prompt to set the hidden / readonly attribute for the file.

I have checked the attributes for the file and it has the SHR attribute
which complies with what you are asking me, is this right?
