I need a reg cleaner because I keep getting a reg error when installing an
app that says reg key cannot be created error create id key blah blah

My experience with registry cleanup programs is they would nicely get
rid of most of the crud in my registry and then add some more of their
own.

Jassie, you are getting that error because the program that you are
installing is attempting to write to a protected area of the registry, to
which it does not have permission. The program that you are installing
most likely needs Administrator rights to install correctly. Right-click on
the installer and select Run As Administrator.

Norton Utilities lost their usefulness long ago. They were a waste in XP
too. Vista has the tools you need. If you want a fancy defragmenter GUI,
to watch the blocks shake and move then go with something like Raxco Perfect
Disk, or Diskeeper, but they are not needed. Registry cleaners are snake
