Re: Trouble trying to register for upgrade.
I too paid for my MCE and have the disks.

The website says my order is confirmed, so it looks like it registered
somehow, although I never received an email stating this. Then yesterday and
today I had an email from Modus asking me to send proof of purchase of Vista
and computer and my order number.

I have sent them both times, so will see what happens. I have asked for a
phone number, but I think I must get an automated response. I am emailing
mstupvistana@moduslink.com if that helps and I am in the UK.

I will let you know if I get any joy, perhaps you can let me know too via
the group.

Trouble trying to register for upgrade.
I have windows media centre on a new computer with a redemption form.

I got as far as inputting payment details last night and then received an
error code.

Today it won't accept my COA, I have emailed for help and the support staff
said they have reset my COA, yet I still can't get any further.

Has anyone else got any advice.

Thank you.

What form? Was this some upgrade promo run by a computer vendor? If so you
will need to work with them to resolve this issue. Maybe if you gave more
specifics about who and what, someone who has dealt with it might jump in.

I bought a computer from pcspecialist, with it comes a certificate that has
a redemption form number. You go to upgradeweb.moduslink.com to enter this
number with your COA (I have windows XP Media Centre). I have emailed modus
about this problem.

I entered all the required details, and then went to pay with my visa card
(this is for carriage only). These details entered I waited for the
transaction to proceed, when there was an error on the page message (on the
website), and it did not proceed any further I just had the page saying
error try again later.

I tried the next day, entered all my details and it said my COA had not been
recognised. I emailed Modus. They replied that they had reset the COA, so
I could proceed. I tried again and got the same messages, so I decided to
see if I could look at order process in case payment had gone through. The
message I got said
Unable to continue. 'The provided order number or Certificate of
Authentication number is no longer available in our system.

Still no joy and no contact numbers that I can speak to via phone.

Has anyone else had this problem?

M
