ScreenSaver Themes
I am running Vista Premium 32bit on a Dell Demension 9100 with a 3gig
processor. A GeForce 7300 LE XFX Graphics Card. Okay so I recently
upgraded to both Vista and the Graphics card. My Roomie just bought the
almost exact setup as mine with Vista and this Graphics card already loaded
on it.

When I go into the ScreenSavers Settings I do not have the option to set up
my themes. it just tells me that this computers video card cannot play
themes. Well I know for sure it can and does on my roomies pc. The previous
graphics card I had was also a PCI express card so didn't think there was
anything in the BIOS that needed turned off. I'm just kinda dumb founded
here and not sure if there is something that I am overlooking that I need to
either shut off or turn on.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Scooter

Scooter, how much dedicated memory does your graphics card have? LE models
I believe share some system memory.

Type System Information into the start/search box. Expand 'Components' and
select Display. Adapter RAM should be displayed on the right.

Re: ScreenSaver Themes
That should be more than sufficient.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the screensavers? Do the
default screensavers work at all? What themes are you trying to set up?

Re: ScreenSaver Themes
Hi Jane, Thank You so much for your help... I finally was so frustrated with
the whole thing that I went ahead and reinstalled Vista and everything seems
to be working now... Obviously I must not have gotten a clean install the
first time around... But anyway, Problem Solved.. Yeah !!!!

btw... the thing I was missing was the option for random themes... which
displays the screensaver pics folder in several different themes each time it
starts...

Thanks Again,
Scooter
