Quick Time

I have a new Gateway computer with quick time. It is not compatible with
the windows vista premium. both came original on the computer. i rec'd a
message that windows changed my color scheme to vista basic because it was
not compatible with quicktime. can't find a patch apple has for the problem.
error specifically read "qttask" is not compatible and is running when no
longer running color scheme will change back. It never does. I changed it
back manually but it went back to basic again. help? suggestions?

I've got Quicktime 7.1.3 running with no problems so far...
