IE7 restarting itself

Have done a few posts here on this, but here's another one to keep it alive.

Quite frequently when I shut down IE7, it restarts itself right away without my intervention. It first tells me that an error has occurred, then it restarts itself. It *may* be a MS fingerprint reader that's at fault, but not sure.

looking to share this with others to see if there's a workaround.

Same problem here. 64-bit IE7 first closes all IE7 windows, then restarts when any single window closes. And yeah, I also have a fingertip sensor. It is build in HP HDX. Tried to install XP IE7 but was stopped.

VISTA SP1 cleared the problem for me on first test. Now to find out what SP1 broke!

No problem still there when you open a second IE7 window. But at least now it is sending a report to MS.

I seem to lose the IE7 Restart problem when I remove the Google Toolbar.

I'll keep it out for awhile and see how the second IE7 window reacts when it is close.
