SFC /SCANNOW needs a "Console Session"?

I am admin but it wants me to run inside a console session. I just did a
command.com in the Run box. What do I need to do to get into console mode.

First of all, use cmd.exe, not the 16-bit command.exe.

You have to run cmd.exe with full admin privileges. Type cod in the search
box at the bottom of the Start Menu. When you get the cod icon, right click
it and 'Run as Administrator'.

You need a spill chucker .... <s>
