Getting RealPlayer to work with Vista 64-bit

I have been going around in circles with Real and still have not gotten
RealPlayer to play anything in my library or to even activate my pc. Has
anybody dealt with this to a satisfactory conclusion?

Many folk have used real-alternative instead.
