Playing Video in Vista WMP 11

Since installing vista i've been able to play video in WMP11. The file will
load and audio plays but no video image is present..

I downloaded DivX 6.5 codec and installed (only the codec pack, not the
player or convertor). Now when i try to play Video WMP just crashes with the
message box "Windows media player has stopped working" it trys to fix the
problem but fails.

I have since tried 2 other codec packs but the same problem occurs, and when
i remove the codec pack it just goes back to playing the audio with no
pictires.

Any ideas..?

Have you tried the K-Lite Codec Pack?
