Antivirus Software for Vista?
Looking for suggestions for an antivirus program that works well with
Windows Vista. Do we have any recommendations/experience?

Thanks.

RE: Antivirus Software for Vista?
I'm currently using the anti-virus scanner included with SpySweeper and so
far it seems to work fine. Can't really speak from an "experience" standpoint
though as I've only had it up for a few days.

Free for home use.

Light on system resources.

Windows Live Care. It's by Microsoft. It has more incentive than anyone to
design an AV that works well with the operating system.

You should check some of the prior posts in this newsgroup. Been
asked/answered, and discussed many times.

I use AVG free and it has been great for several years. It is also vista
compatable and does not ahve the same horrible (my opinion) user inteface
that avast has.

I'm testing Avast at the moment - quite a nice one - but I heard that Nod32
should be the best - I think I will give it a try?! Ok, it costs a bit of
money - but I think it's worth paying for software which is good -
especially in that area.

What about your opinions? Some experiences in using Nod32 & Vista?

NOD32 is the best. That's not just my opinion, but it's based on independent
testing. No other AV over the last 4 years has been as consistent and effective
as NOD32. The real beauty of it, NOD32 accomplishes this *without* being a
drag on your system. It's peace of mind I am willing to pay for.

With the release of Vista, I suspect we'll be seeing a LOT of 'new
users' to the newsgroup -- the 'search first' ask questions later
protocol is one more likely to be missed than used..
