IE doesn't remember the last download folder

I am running Vista on my computer. When I am in Internet Explorer and I download programs or pictures IE doesn't remember the last download folder like in previous versions. How do I set IE to remember the last download folder?

By default downloads should go to C:\yourusername\downloads unless you select otherwise....

That's unusual behaviour. IE should be remembering your last save location.

Im having same issues. Googled it and couldnt really find an answer but I did find this question.

It wont remember the last folder I saved to from the web, nor will it remember the last folder I uploaded from. so it very well could be an IE7 issue as well.

Any ideas??

I'm having the same problem since going to Vista x64. It sends me to the default save folder every time and I have to go through all my folders to get to the one I want. When I'm saving a lot of things like pictures, it's a real nuisance. Any help??

well that wasn't what I was hoping to hear. lol. that's such an annoying problem... I've looked all over search engines and haven't found a fix yet either.

You should be asking about this in the area where more of the IE gurus

Oh ok, sorry. Since it worked fine in XP and even changing the IE version now didn't fix it, I assumed it was a Vista problem.

And BP, I'll definitely post back if I get it fixed.
