Word cannot complete the save due to a file perission error
I am running a fresh install of Vista Business. I am having no other problems
really, but this one is making a healthy attempt at trashing all of my
college work.

When I open a file from my USB drive, then make alterations and save back to
the drive I get the error as per the subject. I am able to save the file onto
the hard drive instead, but this is a really annoying and time consuming
problem. That has only appeared since moving to Vista.

If I try to open a file after this problem has arisen I get the error
message "Word experienced an error trying to open the file" It then tries to
recover the data but usually corrupts the data or wipes it...

Any ideas??

Re: Word cannot complete the save due to a file perission error
I think Word has had problems in the past with saving to removable drives,
so they may have disabled that option.
