Office 2007 hangs on Save and Save As

When I try to Save or Save As any new document I create in any Office 2007
application, the application hangs (not responding). I can open existing
documents and save them, but cannot Save As and rename them. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007. I have run the Office 2007
diagnostics and no problems were found. What is the problem?

Yes. I'm logged in with full administrator rights. I have the same problems
if I click on the Office button and select Open. The file listing dialog box
appears, but never populates. Office hangs at that point.

This has nothing soever to do with permissions and is a well known glitch
since Office 97 - 2007.

I have plenty of disk space, about 25GB free. I did the disk cleanup. Still
not working. Looked at the event viewer, nothing in it gives anything
usable. Vista problem reporter has reported, but no responses on any of them
for over a week.

Yep but as the MSKB drives home, this is probably related to CPU and you're
not going to get a response from the Vista Problem reporter, Glenn, it's
one way data gathering for the Redmond softies.

MSFT has not developed a real time common sense error feedback mechanish in
Vista or at the time of this writing. They've talked about it for years at
meeting from time to time. They laregely offer a gamut of ectopic,
metastatic logs often written in HEX which needs special decoding tools and
expertise to interpret. It won't be helpful to the girls from Desparate
Housewives who have Vista on their cute little laptops.

Redmond Softies are good at accumulating gadgets in the real world with your
money, but otherwise woefully out of contact with the needs of their real
world customers.

Do this to improve your CPU efficiencey and see if it helps you with the
Word dialogue box. At worst, uninstall Office but first use the Windows
Installer Cleanup Utility (google and download it) if the measures below
don't help:

6) Unck items from msconfig start tab you don't need starting and some
won't start--peoiple who think just uncking for many are naive because there
are 12 places things can be started including several reg keys like Run Once
keys and there are serveral.

7) Turn off Messaging service--it's a security vulnerability and it slows
