Prevent Expanding "User" Folder When Opening Windows Explorer
When I open Windows Explorer it always opens the entire "User" folder
structure - which is very long. Is there a way to prevent this?

Re: Prevent Expanding "User" Folder When Opening Windows Explorer
You could change the properties of it's shortcut to this, for example:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:

Re: Prevent Expanding "User" Folder When Opening Windows Explorer
That feature is specific to 'explore' the Start Menu folder, and thus opens
to it.
It was not meant necessarily as a means to open Windows Explorer
generically.
So the simple answer is 'no'.
