RE: messanger live
When I am trying to log into MSN I also get an error message saying that
windows has to close. The computer tells me that Data Execution Prevention
(DEP) which is a security feature stopped me from logging on so I try to
change the DEP settings for MSN but it won't let me because MSN is apart of
Windows. On the other hand my Yahoo7 Messenger works great. Can someone help
me out?

Re: messanger live
It seems that installing an old version of MSN Messenger first and then
install Live Messenger solves the problem, according to a post in the
dutch groups.
Seems it's only a problem on Acer laptops though...

Re: messanger live
Thanks for the tip. I was having the same problem and found that Version 8
on a recent PC World magazine disc solved the problem.

I think its ironic that the latest MS download doesn't work on the latest MS
operating system!

Re: messanger live
Hi! can I just clarify that you are using Windows Live Messenger.

I have Vista Ultimate and Live Messenger works fine. Are you running the
latest version 8.1?

We have set up numerous client machines with no problems, just open Live
messenger, either sign up for a Windows Live ID or enter your own registered
details and the app should open and run OK.

Regards
Stuart
